Advertisement-free browsing for Annual Supporting Members?

going on 3 years of being an annual supporting member, I feel like I already do my part as far as contributing to the site. therefore I think ads should be removed for all ASM users.

I mean it's the least you guys could do for us that pay money every year.

also, for the first admin/ultramod/mod/orangenameperson/supermod/megamod/turbomod/ that says ads are a main source of income, here's the deal in my case:

I have clicked maybe 3 ads in the last 2 or so years.

- the first was most likely on accident
- the second was probably something non paintball related that caught my eye, like one of those ads that say I won a contest for the millionth view that the site puts up from time to time.
- the third... well, probably an accident too.

so 3 ad clicks is probably like what, 5 cents in revenue?

lol peace.

I think they get paid every time it loads on your browser, not every click. So no matter if you click it or not, they get paid.

Well they say. You don't have to click them. Just each time page loads get money for it.

Could always just set up a page to refresh every so often.. If needed run it threw proxy gen. And bam

If that were included in the deal, I'd probably go for it. I probably will anyway soon, but still...

It has to be large amounts of hits, the proxy idea would
Be wasteful of your time.

There is pay per click and pay per view ads.

Honestly I don't see the problem with you all they are small squares. I'd hate to see what you do when you see a bulletin board with a AD on it up in the air.

Sure. I think all of you who are angered about this are taking it way too seriously.

I've never had any problems with advertisements on here. Yes I've accidentally clicked them before, but all you do is close it and move on.

That's just my two cents.

If PbNation offered an ad free version, how much would you be willing to pay for it on an annual basis?

Interesting.

Also, PbNation isn't nearly as bad as some websites that have ads in threads, random pop-ups, or the most annoying type that load the page and slowly fade your screen into an advertisement and make you wait for the "go to page" button to appear.

I count four ad panes on the entire page one of which is tiny.

Lol is it against your religion or something? They don't choose what ads they get. Most of the time they're ads generated by page content through keywords.

This site has very very advertisements and none of them are made to get in your way.

To be honest.. I never really notice the advertisements unless they have a pop up.. But the staff has been great at fixing those..
