I'm looking to put some stuff up on the bst.but I don't know how it works.like what are the steps.thanks!!

Find the correct category, make a post. Be descriptive of any problems or scratches/nicks on the item your selling.

pictures are very helpful
also make sure you put prices and what you would be interested in trading for so you dont get people asking you to pm them the lowest.. you might also want to read the rules of the b/s/t before you post up they do explain a lot of things

you will probably get people wanting you to ship first since you have no feedback. know that you do that at your own risk. i will never ship before i get paid if straight selling. you can if you want just make sure you look at their feedback first. be aware of who you are selling to and make sure you are comfortable with the deal. if you arent there will be others that come along.

EDIT: also if you want check the name on the paypal and confirm it with them as well as the address. Most people have a really hard time shipping first so sometimes people go through a third party that is picked mutually and you guys send the money or goods there and they make sure it happens. This is usually done through a paintball store or field but make sure you ask the store/ field if they can do it for you

to embed pictures (which helps greatly with the sale) copy and paste a url to the image and pit [img] in front and [/img] after the url.

But seriously, just make a thread and put what you have for sale. Its not that difficult. PM's will be the majority of your work.

just lets people see it you other post, but if your selling something please dont post in different threads with users selling the same stuff as you are. just bad manors to try and poach someone's sale

as for the selling bit after you post chances are they will pm or post offers. its between you and buyer to agree on the terms ie payment amount and payment type. I never trust anyone so I NEVER ship first. I did hear some moderators would be happy to be a third party in deals where seller doesnt want to ship w/o payment and buyer doesnt want to pay w/o some assurance that you are legitimately selling posted item. So seller would ship item to mod and once mod confirms to buyer that the item is received and in hand. then buyer would send payment to seller, seller confirms received payment and at last mod sends item to buyer.
If you choose to go with a mod as a third party, please at least pay them for their time and help. I dont know if they request any fee but its just a nice thing to do in any case.

I think there is a b/s/t sticky somewhere around here for more help and rules too.

start with opening a photobucket or image shack account for your paintball/b/s/t photos. if your under 18 and want to sell online ask mom or dad to open a paypal account in your name and link it to a checking account. to link it to your main one if you get scammed or there an issue with paypal you dont want them draining you main checking account.buyers are going to ask you for your phone/where you live and other contact info. the same should go for you when a trade starts. if you do large trades think about using a mod for a third party person. it protect you and the seller if both of you have low or no feedback. when you do ship stuff make sure you use good padding and the right boxes to ship stuff out. there been a lot of posts here on the nation where someone tosses a small sharp paintball item into a envlope and finds out the post office sorting machines have ripped the item out of the envlope. it causes the seller to lose money and product. also insure your items for lost and damages. if it a large dollar item again have the buyer sign for the package at time of delivery.

that because me and railz the mod sit it the theft forum all day trying to help people that been scammed on the nation.
