a share is a partial ownership in the company each piece is worth the same amount. So a share price is the value of the company divided by the number of shares available. The number quoted for a company is the cost per share.
Negative obviously means the price per share is less than the last time frame (second, minute, day, week whatever) positive is the inverse. Percent change is just the percent change in the share price. Its the same as percent change in anything.
