My father is coming to visit (well, we're not going to be staying here much) next weekend, and we're planning to hit Memphis and St. Louis, spending about a day in each place.

I've heard nothing but praise about Rendezvous in Memphis, so we'll definitely hit that. Any locals on here know of restaurants we have to check out? Never been to either city.

EDIT: I just found out there is a texas de brazil in Memphis... I've wanted to go there for a long time.

It depends on what you're looking for. We have some good bbq in the lou and also some cool mom and pop places. What did you have in mind?

Imo's pizza is a must here in the Lou. Lots of great pizza and BBQ places. If you want some really good beer hit up Morgan Street Brewery on the landing.

If you want a good burger place, either check out Blueberry Hill in the loop or Carl's Drive in on manchester. Theres also plenty of brewpubs to check out if you're into that
