Eh, i kinda HAD to buy them, it was like the last boots they had. I don't really mind. They will easily last a season. My feet are always growing, I will most likely be getting a new pair next season.

there were so many better features, like the pirate ship.

Would I be considered a beetch if I wear knee pads? The only part of my body I hurt snowboarding is my knee. Somehow I ding it on hard pack/rails. I swear to baby jesus I always hit my fudging knee cap, and it is probably the worse pain that does not result in serious injury. I was just wondering if anybody else's uses them? Reason being hit a down, flat, down today, tried to boardslide the last part and just ate ****, came down right on the landing, which is practically ice, and destroyed my right knee cap.

If it helps you progress faster, why not?
I had to wear a wrist guard on my left arm because it was still screwed up from when I broke it late summer

I was just wondering if people do wear knee pads. Wrists guards are understandable cause you break your fall with your wrist, I just have never seen knee pads. But, I am going to buy some because that **** hurts.

I rock knee pads. i get **** for it, but its nice. it keeps compression on your knees and prevents anything major from ****ing them up. i have some proto paintball pads that i wear that are just cushion. try them out.

of course! there'd be a thread about snowboards and such on the nation.

http://www.blanksnowboards.com/

opinions? im sick of buying and selling my friends boards and always using what ever i have for just one week... i figure ill just buy a board for myself and use it for this season, and maybe next. i'd be getting a 147 reverse camber white.
current set up, 5150 for most trail riding, and burton for park. (i wont have either of these for long)

Assume it's a china board. They sell 1 board; extruded base that comes in different size, camber, 2 colours. No contact information except though social networking sites. I can already tell you they won't stand by their product when it starts delaming half way through the season. They could be legit, but I would rather support another company without such a sketchy marketing scheme

edit
Their inserts only have 8 holes

Having no contact is really sketchy to me as well.. but for such a cheap price ill end up wrecking the base before it starts delaming just from riding on sticks rocks and what ever else.

Our boards are manufactured in China. We looked into a bunch of US and Canada based manufacturers and they simply could not compete with the pricing OR quality frankly. There are a lot of really high quality manufacturers based in China. Obviously there are some outfits throwing out crap. We're not na´ve to that fact, but it's a bit na´ve to think China isn't dang good at manufacturing generally, and specifically in our case. Most the materials, glues, steel, etc are imported from Europe and other places prior to assembly.

Our boards have a 14X14 whole pattern, we just need to update our images.

I've ridden tons of sintered and extruded bases and we went with extruded by design and desire not because it cost less. Sintered bases don't ride any better especially in some conditions and they need to be waxed way more often and it's not worth the hassle to me, especially for a ride I've never found preferable in the first place. If we thought sintered was better we'd do it.

As for cutting corners, we did just the opposite. We started with low end capped edge boards with crappy cores and glass and played around on those with samples and then we made every upgrade available including carbon fiber beams, poplar core, high-end triaxial glass, high-end European glues and Rockwell steel. If you think there are better materials out there to make our boards out of, let us know, we'll look into it, and probably do it.

haha, or a real bro.

On another note, decided to hit the new 'glades' trail at Blue mtn in the Poconos, and by doing so essentially trashed my base on my new stairmaster. Didn't notice how bad it was till this morning, but thankfully I got the board for half off or I would be livid. What I was wondering is when should you ptex or just try to fill the divot with wax. There is one near my edge, that hit the core(can see small white spot), but some other ones, I am not really sure.
