i like it more than the borgs. yeah depending on your build design it can be similar in terms of performance. Mine with no macroline loader or barrel with hybrid push button ASA weighs in at 2.32 lbs

Thanks for your response. Does anyone else have an opinion on how they compare to borgs?

My m beat my old rx in efficiency and its smoother but it weighed a couple more ounces. The one thing I missed about the rx is that you don't need tools to break it down.

Getting back to work on my M once school is over after this week. Might go to the shop I used to work at during break and see if I can get some stuff machined. Can someone get me the dimensions of a ram cartridge? I might make one while I have the time.

That's where the serial numbers were. The purpose of it is to remove it.

Thought I'd post up the progress of my build. Everything done by hand with hacksaw, files, grinder, multi-tool and sandpaper.

so not much has happenned with either of my m's, i need to figure out the proper geometry for a trigger for the
DC ul frame, also need to figure out what board i want to use for that one.
for the other one, i need to get the materials for the eye covers for my tarantula milled gun's eye covers.

i did make a new delrin trigger for my t2 framed gun, so here is a pic of it.

delrin with roller bearings installed, i had to drill the frame to accept a 1/8" trigger pin but it's a much nicer feeling trigger hands down

Thats a nice file job xero. I think the quest frame looks good hanging out the back too.

Thank you. I think I'll leave the back of the frame on for the time being. Makes a nice little semi snatch grip.

Okay guys, need a little more help...

Okay, so I got impatient and pulled the hammer and valve out of my other viking. I'm happy to say that there are no leaks and things are working, just not 100%. Take a look at the video (sorry about the quality, cell phone camera + low light garage = crap). The gun cycles, but the bolt is resetting very slowly and it sounds like the air is no venting properly. I'm guessing it has to do with the hammer cartridge, or possibly the noid? Also, it's only shooting about 190 fps with reballs. Getting very close and I'm really excited, just want to get everything 100%. Thanks for all of the help so far guys.

its possible that your noid is gummed up. also the manifold gasket is suppose to have the vent port holes cut out a little (might not be cut if it was brand new?).

also what are the settings you are running, and do you have a new battery in there?

I'm not sure of the settings, I'll have to check those. Battery has a full charge (checked it with a tester). I'll check the noid and gasket. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Have you cut the nipples on the noid's gasket? Have you deburred and cleaned the air passages before assembling everything?

well i am starting a evil m project, got the solenoid from a distributor for $47 plus $8 shipping. its the non -101W version because that was $87. i know the 101W option takes away a LED and Diode to speed cycle times but how fast can the solenoid go without the 101W option? anyone know? i would like to get to 15bps MAX.

Are you talking about the two big ones on the ends that fit in those slots cut into the body? If so, then yes, a little. When I first assembled it and aired it up it was leaking around the noid because it wasn't sitting flush due to the nipples. I cut them down by about 1/2. Is there anything more I need to do with those. I did clean out the passages a bit, but maybe not enough. I'll work on that next. Thanks.

Yes. If you halfed them, it should be ok. They are the exhaust ports of the solenoid, you don't want the nipples to either seal in the body or restrict the air flow.

It looks like that was it. I hadn't cut them enough. I cut them down a tiny bit more and cleaned out the air lines a bit with a small drill bit, gun cycles great now. Turned it on about 15 bps capped and the thing was flying. The only problem now is that I can only get up around 230 fps. Dwell is set to 8ms. Originally it was set at 12 I believe and still getting around the same fps. I can't say for sure what the LPR is set to, but I believe Jared said that it was preset to 72 psi.

That's when you need a lpr gauge tool for the EvilM.

Is everything lubed properly? Balls/barrel matched? HPR and LPR working as they should and set properly? Setscrews for the airpassages not restricting the flow? Just what's popping to my head.
