not how it works in washington. The bar can get ****ed hardcore if they get audited and there are underage people in the bar for any reason. A bar around here got their liquor license pulled for 5 days not that long ago for letting someone in underage. YMMV however.

Talk to them in person. It is much harder to reject someone in person who is explaining the situation than it is via e-mail.

It depends on what bar as well - I know some bars in our area (as junkie alluded to) let people in under 21 with Xs or something, unless its a Friday or a Saturday. Fridays and Saturdays a lot of times you are SOL because they don't need the extra business.

Well this is Double Door, a pretty well known place in chicago. Talked to the promoter, said basically the only way I'd be able to take pictures would be to bring a parent with a copy of birth certificate and IDs proving they are my parents. Said even artists who play that are under 21 can only stand on the side of the stage and must leave after their set is done. the owners have a pretty strict rule against under aged people, but it's understandable.

I've been reading through the 21 settings, techniques and rules website and noticed that my camera has an A-DEP mode.
The website doesn't talk about that.

A-DEP averages the focus distance across the activated autofocus points and presets the aperture to give enough depth of field to cover them. It's a noob mode so that you don't misjudge DOF on say, a group shot but you're also relying on the camera to guess what you're shooting.

I don't use it on my 30D, so I don't miss its absence on my 1D.

anyone have picture examples of the condition keh has for "bgn" and adorama has for "good"?

from what i have heard, keh is conservative with the ratings and that alot of people have bought bgn rated stuff and it turned up in surprisingly good shape

BTW Adorama definition of Good:

'50-74% of original condition. Appears to have been used very heavily with multiple dings, scrapes, scratches and heavy brassing. Glass may have fungus, excessive dust and/or scratches that can affect picture quality'.

I'm still a noob. I've managed to get some good portrait shots to where the background is soft, focusing in on the subject. The pictures are nice but far from the pics people take on here.

figure my parents were right and the 60D is tomuch for a 15 year old to spend on a camera, so would a Canon Rebel t2i be a good entry level camera? and take good paintball pics with a decent lense?
