hmm. I'm gonna say keep upping that ion.
look into a scenario dreams T-Board or Lucky Spitfire board and attaching it a MAC33, then making the ion an XE by buying the conversion kit.
after you get the conversion kit, buy a Foehnv2.5 (deadlywind.com) or a shocktech body (ansgear.com) or some other metal body for it which you think is cool...
Then buy an NDZ Scorpion trigger frame with a deadlywind trigger (you can buy the frame by calling newdesignz.com)
then get an ndz skeleton bolt for the ion xe, deadlywind hollowpoint bolt for the IonXe, or techt l7v2 for ionXE
and second to lastly.. a good reg like the macdev gladiator (vx2 i think), dye hyper2, cp v2, or the pie reg or aka sidewinder shorty.
finally, get a good centerline asa like the ndz spinner or the macdev asa, avoid dye ul airport though, but the hybrid quarter turn is a good one as well.
then just snag a good barrel with a bore between .680 and .685
