Wendy's fries got worse

So... I tried those new "sea salt and natural cut fries"

Soggy crap. Also, the **** is natural cut? Did some fair trade worker hand cut them? All I noticed was more peel on them, and there shaping resembled higher end fries. The sea salt was actually worse than their normal salt because they skimped on it. They even raised the prices a bit. They were so far from crisp with about half of them being verry soggy.

They changed their fries like 2-3 years ago for the worse too, something about them switching the oil they fried them in.

Anyways i always loved wendy's fries up till that point, but when that happened it was a very very noticeable difference and i haven't enjoyed them in the slightest since then. I wish they had better options for fry substitutes besides chili or baked potato... i'd want onion rings or something.

I guess ill give these a shot and see what they're like, although your review of them doesn't have me feeling optimistic.

they probably switched to some trans fat-free oil. AKA removed the best parts.

They taste equally as bad as the previous fries IMO. "Natural cut" means absolutely nothing... how the fries are cut does not effect the taste. Sea salt... is still ****ing salt, nothing spectacular about it. So they taste the same, more expensive... not buying.

natural cut means... they are not cut by a processing machine. and they get away with it by leaving the skin on the potato. which should give it a heartier bite. but the skin will also make them go soggy faster. and sea salt is not just salt. there are tons of different kinds of salt ranging in sodium content. try cooking a steak w/ the following.... Iodized( basic) salt, kosher, and sea.
use the same amount on the steak and you tell me if there is any differece. i tried the fries and they are great straight out of the fryer but more than 2 mins out they are nasty and soggy. and they are expensive because its a marketing idea. more expensive = better in peoples minds. i think its a fail for wendy's. arby's has the true fries with the skin on and they stay crispy.

I loved Wendy's fries! This saddens me.

But I'll order mine with no salt next time I go, so they make them fresh. And then add my own salt.
