New trigger!

Hey everyone, I have decided to finally get on track with my little project. I'm making a good quest trigger. It will be similar to a violent scythe style trigger, somewhat like the Infinity Legend trigger but more ergonomically correct. I am making them out of a strong apoxy with a mold that i have milled my-self. The apoxy has a similar feel to metal so it wont be like a flimsy PMR trigger. I am going to start making the first run. If anyone is interested, has any suggestions or ideas, post on the forum or PM me!!

One thing that I would like to see on a Quest trigger is two adjustment screws at the top of the trigger, rather than one, so that you can independently adjust the trigger angle and return force strength. With the current single screw, depending how it is adjusted, it can either act as a front trigger stop, but the return force will be fixed, or as a return force adjuster, but then the trigger angle is fixed.

Well i was thinking on mine that it would have a magnet system similar to criticals where it is on the board but now that you bring that idea up its interesting.

If they come out nicely would you be interested in one?

I wouldn't be adverse to having the rear 'pushing' magnet arrangement rather than the front 'pulling' magnet, if you then had a front screw to make trigger angle adjustments. Critical went for the pushing arrangement, but then removed the front trigger screw altogether.

Or you could go the whole hog and leave the front magnet adjustment as well, so that people could set their own favoured balance between pull and push (as with some Ego and Angel models, though the Egos use a spring), *and* add the second front screw to be used as a trigger stop adjustment.

I'll be honest, I've said what I would like to see, as I have used a lot of different triggers, on a lot of different markers, and that has meant that I have developed a strong feeling for what I like to see in a trigger, and the Quest's somewhat anomalous front trigger screw has always seemed odd to me.

Having said that, I can't necessarily say that I would buy this trigger, as I already have the stock trigger - which is good even despite of the odd front trigger screw - a Critical trigger, and a TheBetterOne trigger from when he was also asking if Quest users wanted a different trigger. It's hard for to really justify buying a fourth trigger when I only have one Quest! Then again, if this turned out to be the best trigger ever, then it's possible that I might want one.
