Promaster!

I've always been a fan of ICD since my first pb marker in 02 (b2k2). I was around when the freestyle and promaster were released, but was never able to afford one being so young, so I was more of a viewer. Since then Iíve purchased aka vikings and excals and even moved away from paintball for a few years. Just recently getting back into the sport again, Iíve dragged my friends and brother in-law into the sport. Of course when helping them look for markers I recommended the ICD promaster. Let me just say, I'm very impressed with how these markers shoot. They are light, quick, and quiet and 1/10 the price of other markers that shoot the same way. So far Iíve purchased 3 of them for friends and family members and Iím sure Iíll be getting one for myself very soon.

Itís sad that ICD is no longer making markers. They were really on to something.

I know, right? I bought a used one for my cousin to use till he could pay me back. Its fast, light and pretty smooth. I may be selling it to my cousin's buddy, if not its gonna be a keeper.

Rock solid too. And the physical on/off switch is nice that you dont constantly drain your battery when not in use.

Over all a great shooter. Sold one and was pissed at myself the next time I played and immediately went out and bought another.

If you guys put any money into your guns, you will surely not regret it! I think that's the best part. All the crap upgrades pretty well died years ago.

I've got the ICDU rammer, eBay valve (I hear it's not as good as the Vaporworks it's cloned from, but I've never had an issue), Lasoya VA (for HPR and LPR guages), Kila Drive board, QEV, Madman lightened valve spring, Kila detents and eye covers, AKA SCMIII (some have creeping issues, I LOVE the performance on mine), Lasoya-style Air America reg, and that's about it as far as real performance ups.

But for sure, they are slick shooters. I love mine. I've been playing since 1998 and have owned a TON of electros and my Promaster is one of my most favorites.

It's a shame ICD always used/designed such lousy regulators and electronics for the b2k series. Those things really detracted from the customer experience and perception of what is otherwise a very solid and effective gun design. It wasn't finally until the Promaster that the board was actually worth keeping and even then the regulators were still bleh.

Hardly, I'm an idiot and I managed to screw mine up. Literally, 'screw' it up.
For anyone reading this that hasn't had to replace a solenoid, make sure you use the 6/32 x 1/4" button heads exclusively for those grip screws.
Below you can see enough idiotic damage to kill a perfectly good 'noid.

But other than that, yeah, Promasters are money. I'm keeping mine.

Intimidator solenoids will work. I actually think I am going to keep the PM I picked up. I love my legend, but I like to have a back-up/loaner gun for a friend. Ima work on getting some upgrades over the next few months. First up is a new trigger, do not like the stock. Maybe I'll wire in my mac43 solenoid since it is smaller and see if I can put in dual QEVs.
