Pooty's Polished Bolt - Dwell settings?

Hey Nation. I searched the threads and couldn't find anything.

The title says it all. Got my bolt polished and I'm just curious where I should set my dwell. All I've heard is that once you get it polished you can lower your dwell. My Matrix comes back from the anodizer on Friday and I have to completely rebuild her.

I'm basing my tuning off of this:
"dye guns are simple, dwell of 18-21 *21 for brittle paint*,
fresh orings on the beer can and top hat,
get a reg adjuster and put the regulator to the psi as the manual states.
then after all that, adjust the lpr till it shoots. very simple"

Granted, that's with a stock bolt. Any ideas?

i run my dm7 with a polished bolt on straight eclipse oil. Dwell 21, LPR at about a turn and a half out, then just chronoed the HPR to 300. Once you spend some time and get it tuned it right, youll love it trust me.

I love it when guns shoot money! haha I'm looking for a smooth shot rather than efficiency. If that changes anything

i have been using a very thin coat of eclipse grease, but my settings are basically the same since i have polished the bolt in my dm7. it's so quiet it doesn't seem like has enough input pressure, but the fps is on the money. it is comical how low the lpr can be set to.

as for how high the dwell may be, you can dwell tune to get it a bit lower, if you so desire. even with higher dwell, my effeciency with the much lower lpr is basically the same as before. also, with the smaller paint we now have, you may want to look into a smaller bore barrel if you are overboring. i know for me, a .688 is a bit too large of an overbore

yeah i could go lower with the dwell but i choose not too. As for how i tuned, just did the same thing with my dm11 and polished bolt and im at 21 dwell, 1 and a half turns out, consistant over the chrono and no kick at all.

mine is not Pooty polished, but it is the BWing bolt.. as others have said, my dwell is at 21.. HPR set at 300.. and then I just reset the LPR, start turning it out.. or in.. hahaha, dont remember which way.. when the bolt is finally sucked back, I'll start dry firing and checking for bolt lag and a full cycle. Once the bolt cycles completely after ramping for a few seconds, I'll add 1/4 of a turn to the LPR, just to be sure, and leave it there. buttery smooth
