Weird dirt...

Hello fellow forum lurkers...

Just put over a case through my Geo2 and I'm having a few problems. First is ball breakage: I'm not worried about that considering it's Canada and freezing so that's solved. Second: after shooting, my gun has some weird blackish grit in the breach. Upon further inspection, it just rubs off with your finger and I've checked if the bolt comes in contact (metal to metal) in the breach. I don't overlube the gun, the orings are just 'wet'. Just wondering if this is normal/possible solutions. Thanks guys.

Will post a photo up in a few

It's from your paint. DXS paint is cleaned at the factory using micro fiber clothes. The fibers stick to the paint and is transfer into your marker.

Okay thats a relief. My gun is dust white so I'm assuming you can see it more out of the breach. My VGeo is also dust white but never have seen this before :S I was worried it was maybe the bolt coming in contact with the breach, therefore being metal on metal causing this to happen. Thanks, your inquiry is appreciated

also if it is a brand new gun the orings will go through a "break in period" basically there is a "sheen" on the orings that wears down once you have put 2-5 cases through the gun... it generally makes the lube on the orings go black cause people to think their gun is shearing orings...

best bet would be to relube every 2 cases up until 10 cases... after that should be as much of an issue

if you are shooting draxxus i recommmend taking the bolt out after every case and inspecting the bolt orings and the inner can oring just to get rid of any fibres that have been caught in there

Getting some great inquiries here. Thanks guys. I've actually taken the orings out of the stock GR-2 bolt on my Geo as I have the GST kit in that. They are somewhat broken in and slide much smoother didn't know this about draxxus...and it would explain a lot for my other guns but I was actually shooting X.O.

if you look all through this section there is bugger all complaint or probs with the geo 2 and half seem to be user error... cant say the same about other spoolie forums.....

1. break it in
2. shoot lots of paint
3. ????
4. profit epically XD

I'd have to say more than half myself the Geo is a VERY resilient gun, and most of the problems are because that curious boy wants to see the inside of the solenoid *facepalm* lol when I saw this in the breach alarms went off in my head that it was something a lot more serious that what it actually is

baby it for the break in period and after that you shouldnt have an issue with it

check the bolt after every 2 cases, unless there is excessive breech or bolt wear... the black stuff wont be doing any damage so nothing to stress about

The fuzz will not cause any damage to your internals. However if enough gunks up it can break a seal between an oring and cause a very slight leak.

it takes literally 2 minutes...

just look at the bolt after each day of play, clean / relube if necessary.

and the dxs fuzzy stuff, i don't like it either, i had quite a bit built up on my bolt from 2 cases.

if you're gonna drop a grand on a marker, it would make sense to just look at your internals after each day of play, how lazy have people gotten nowadays?

I agree with NorCal
PE guns are so easy. Geo you just unscrew the prop, wipe, wet o-rings and put back. Max time is 5 mins. Better to do that and keep your gun in top shape then having issues shooting.

Or stop using that paint.
