need bolt help badly

so i got this re re stinger bolt (my manifold screw is 1.5 turns from flush, my feathertouch i think its called is out) with spring out new bolt in i can run my settings relatively low (dwell 12, fsdo 12), stock bolt, or stinger spring in, i must run, something like dwell 15, fsdo 22 wtf, doesnt that go against the theory of what the spring does?............what am i overlooking guys pls help me out thx in advance

What spring are you using? Also is your bolt guide modded? You could have crazy binding of the spring against the bolt guide, that will do more damage then good. See it all the time.

there is a chance that the spring could be backwards? I thought i read somewhere that the orientation of the spring makes a difference. Try less lube to prevent tackiness or visa versa
