just wipe the outside of the marker with microfiber cloth. inside, use a squeege (or how ever its spelled lol).
as far as the mask goes, you cant get scratches out of lenses, so you just need a new one if its scratched bad enough.

^^^ Very much how it should be done.
Water and microfiber. I do not use anything else. Lenses should be repaced if badly scratched.

as said above, water only.
Cleaning agents can change the composition of the lense so next time you get it it goes right through and into your face.
Other cleaners will make the lense opaque and cloudy.
Replace your lenses every year and never leave them sitting outside in the sun.

Don't use alcohol on your lens, it actually breaks down the plastics in your lens. The last thing you want is a weakened shield between you and a projectile traveling at 300fps. But ultimately it is your choice.
Plexus is a really good thing for lenses, it can be found at a lot of autoparts stores.
But it is important to stay away from glass cleaners, i.e windex and the like, when cleaning your lens.

baby wipes and q-tips. Relube and good to go. For the lens, hot water and let it dry. Be sure to wash your pants and jersey inside-out so they dont fade.

alcohol is fine on your lenses. it wont damage them, but i still wouldnt use it as it might weaken the glue for the foam. cleaning products like windex and other chemicals will weaken the lense for sure. dont use anything more than warm water and some mild hand soap.
for your gun a mix of water/alcohol is great for cleaning up the sticky stuff. i keep some in a small spray bottle so i can just spray it and wipe it down.

just throw everything in the washer and dryer. mask, pants, pads, gun, loader. everything. comes out sparkling clean.
i only use water to clean lenses. hot water with a soft rag, preferably microfiber. a damp rag will be able to wipe any gun down and a tooth brush for all the little crevices and milling

I use a microfiber with water on it, start with the lens (cleanest time for the micro) then the rest of the mask, then I move onto the pods and marker(s). Has worked pretty well. If I can't get something I'll use some rubbing alcohol or some qtips.

I recommend the Angel oil or Dow 55.
I use a ShamWow to clean my marker on the outside to take off paint and stuff.
Next I use a barrel squeegee to clean out my barrel. Then I take the bolt out and oil it.
Next I take out the ram and put dow 55 on it.
After that I re-assemble everything and take out the macroline from the Asa and the Regulator and I put a drop of oil down the Asa and Regulator.
It depends on which gun your using. For an ego you require little maintenance. Its mainly just oiling the bolt and cleaning through the breach with a squeegee, But with a Spool valve type marker you will have to take apart more stuff to clean the Important parts.

Dow 55 is really only needed for bob long guns as they are designed to have oring swell. most all other guns are designed to run perfectly well if not better off of dow 33 with no oring swell. plus dow 33 is cheaper.

I agree with dow 33 as well. But it just depends on whatever people think is better for their guns.

You will need to replace your lenses if you find a crack or weakening in the surface of the lens.

Depends on the gun then you can get into which lube you prefer.

OP here..
Thanks for your responses. I will have to get a new lens, considering the scratches are both annoying and obstructing; no more placing the marker up to my mask anymore.
All my gear is clean and ready for some paint.
Thanks again, see you on the field.

i think that is just an extreme saftey precaution companies say to be on the safe side.
ive personally been using my same jt proflex lenses for about 2 years not (yes you can LOL at me) im just too poor to buy new ones. i play tournament paintball so i have been shot up close in the lens countless times and i see no signs if getting weaker.

Pretty much any paint you use is water soluble so there is no need for anything as strong as alcohol.
I use regular bar soap, water and an old tooth brush to clean my marker/barrel.
My goggles I do the same for the frames. For the lens I just run them under some lukewarm water and let them air dry.
But for whatever specific pair you have the manufacturing company likely has a "how-to" guide for how you should clean it. For example: Vforce - http://dxspaintball.com/spotlight/dl/Grill-vforce.pdf (page 3)

I clean my marker after every day of play. I remove all the internals, check the o-rings, and lube everything up. I then soak and wash the body plates in hot soapy water and dry then oil up the inside of the plates a little. I reassemble and then squirt some 3-in-one oil on a wash cloth and rub down the outside of the marker a bit. Be sure not to get the 3-in-one oil on any critical components or o-rings...the marker body ONLY. It really helps keep paint from sticking to the body and makes it easier to clean next go around.
