Question about upping efficiency on a 2004 Viking

Hey guys:

I'm running 10 dwell on my Viking (just downed it from 12 because the LPR seems to have broken in, according to the consistency). LPR is at 72. HPR is to velocity, took 10 shots, averaged about 283 FPS.

Anyways, I have a 68/4500, but I was doing hot 3000 fills and then going straight into a game. I shot a Prophecy and two Dye Lock Lids (550 balls), and I was down to 2000 PSI. Does this seem right? I know there is cooling, I wasn't really shooting too fast either (playing semi-auto uncapped, mostly bursting around 15-17 BPS).

Does this sound about right? Or do I need to tune some of my settings?

So you say that with less than 1000psi, considering cool down, you shot over 500 balls? Vikings should shoot around 2000 balls with a 68/4500 fill. Your numbers seem optimistic, but they look alright if real.

Yes, I shot a hopper and two Dye Lock Lids and used about 1000 PSI. I went from a hot 3000 PSI fill, to 2000 PSI in about 10 minutes.

By "alright" do you mean that I'm on par with what a viking should be shooting? Or do I need to tune settings?

I also forgot to mention that the paint that I'm using is a little small (a minute few will roll out, I'm using a .684 bore).

I mean, let's say there was cooldown and you used 900psi for 550balls. Now, from a 68/4500psi, you should shoot around 2000balls. Let's say you won't use the last 200psi of that full fill, vikings operate at around 200psi. 4300psi / 900psi = 4,78 and 4,78 x 550balls = 2629balls. That seems oddly high. Let say you used 1000psi for 500balls. 4300psi / 1000psi = 4,3 and 4,3 x 500balls = 2150balls. This again seems high. But if those numbers are real, by that I mean your gage and your shot count are accurate, then good for you, I wouldn't touch the tuning of that thing.

I'm already using a 12" barrel, the only problem is that paint is so small it still rolls out of my .681 back.

How does that compare to the CP barrel that they sell in .678? What about compared to the new Disruptive Paintball barrels that also have a pretty long control bore (not as long as the Eigenbarrel though)?

Yeah its amazing. I tried their regular paint it was meh (purple shell ****).

but the fyre is amazing!!! The shell is more brittle then evil (i dropped them on cement from different heights) or marbolizers or draxus silver (i had alot of paint from different events).

its very similiar to valken graffiti similiar tigerstripe shell and same green fill. great ****
