i think for the divisional teams it should be kept the traditional format that we all love and enjoy.
The race format is not why we want to play all the events next year, we would play xball if we wanted that.
Keep in mind xball and PSP format elements are many matches in one game over a duration, ramping guns and coaching. The NPPL format elements are game after game with no ramping and no coaching. Changing the NPPL games to a best of format would not alter the dynamic of the league enough to consider it the same as xball or PSP.

Someone that gets it. Thank you. Everyone complaining doesn't seem to realize that you already play a race to if you make sunday. Just less time between games. Besides its paintball. Just play and have fun!

I really don't care what format it will be I'm just going to have fun I like the race-to format because if you mess up one game you can come back and redeem yourself against the same team! But if it stays the same, no complaints here.
So basically what your saying is instead of 8 prelim games you would play something like 4 teams best of 3 which could be between 8 and 12 prelim games.
Changing the format to a wins vs Loses system rather than points will change the game.
If you stop tracking points, tactics will change.
We might see more action because players aren't worried about staying alive as much. This may be a good or bad change for some. Players will be encouraged to make more run threw's that will shorten the game (bad) get more penalty's (bad) Make for a exciting game (good). I'm undecided. but I do like the current game and I'm scarred to ruin it.

Matches may be shortened but there could be more of them due to the "best of" format. More penaltys might happen but if it is due to an increase in action, it might not be that horrible of a thing. When a football team blitzes more it may cause the OL to hold more. People focus on the excitement of the blitz action, not the potential ensuing penalties. I believe a "best of" format would be a positive change for the NPPL and its spectators.
