G4 bolt stick won't go away
hey guys I need help. I bought this G4 back in august when it first came out and ever since then it has never shot a single ball. The out of the box bolt stick issue will not go away. I have re-lubed it at least 5-6 times with marmalade, hater sauce, gun sav, and even regular dow33. I have re-lubed the solenoid, bolt, cap, and regulator and nothing has gotten it to work.
When I have the regulator all the way turned in the bolt will start to move a tiny bit but whenever I increase the pressure it stops altogether. I have settings all at stock.
Please help.

Try switching to something thinner to start off with. I use PE Gun Oil. But any oil will do.

thanks for this. I found a pick at the bottom of my paintball extra tub thing and I replaced the oring. the stock one wasn't sealing like it should have been but it works now.
one question though. when i turn the regulator all the way clockwise (IN, which should reduce the pressure right; it's what the manual says) but the bolt works perfectly with no pressure. how is that. when I turn the regulator counterclockwise (OUT) a ways it starts to leak. Could it be that my regulator has to be turned the opposite direction for the pressure to be regulated.

no, your regulator isn't any different than the thousands of other G4 regs out there.
Are you sure you replaced the sail o-ring with one that is the right size/durometer?

I dont think a sail o-ring would apply in this situation though since all of the o-rings are stationed in the body and not on the bolt.

Whether the o-rings are on the bolt or in the breech, the bolt and o-rings still interact in the same manner.
With the G4, you need to remove the o-ring and clean it/stretch it out. You also need to clean all the lube thats in the o-ring slot/groove in the breech.

Sounds like the issue
the early models had this issue with the last oring but Normally relubing the noid and bolt solved this. I was starting to think it was the DP lube that made the noid and bolt seem to be bad due to the lube sitting for a while before the marker was purchased.
You already relubed everything so try replacing that oring. As for tips on replacing it, i couldnt tell you.. i have never owned one of the g4s or spec Rs. I would think you could carefully use tweezers.

Please be sure your not making the classical mistake of lubing the back face of the bolt or the bumper on the back cap. 99% of the time, this will be the issue; be sure it is dry upon assembly.
