Idk about the other L4 teams, but speaking for us, the reason we haven't/won't be moving up this season is because we are leading the series, and have a chance at winning the series prize. If we move to L3, our series points "reset" and our first 4 events were basically wasted. Just sayin though.

Definitely agree with the coaching, and a race to format.

As im seeing the standings today its pretty obvious L3 and L4 can compete on the same level.

Coaching from the sidelines. Discoint if your team is from a state with no msp events like tx, co, ne, nm (me) and that is planning on playing ever event cuz nm sucks. dates out way before the event cuz some team have make plans ahead of time due to air force people need to ask for time off way ahead of time

I for one would like coaching... but I think it needs to be 1 person per team and that one person is on the tape side away from the spectators. Then that 1 person has a small marked area they must stay in.

The problem with allowing all the spectators to coach is you yahoos can't get along and NOT fight when there is no coaching... I'd hate to see the fighting and argueing when there is free for all coaching.

Agreed, but for the start of the season. If there's 5 events you can't make L4 bump up in the middle of the season because they're competeing for the series title. In other words, your classification stays the same for the whole season.


As for L4: I still believe there needs to be a true 3-man beginner class. Kids have to start somewhere, and running up against legit L3 teams is not gonna grow the sport.

ditch the prizes and go with trophies. this should be about good competition and having fun. cut the events down to three and lower prices. the number of events has always been an issue with me as i never had enough cash flow to cover entry, let alone spend $65 on a case of paint. money's tight for a lot of people right now, why not just go back to making it fun. It may even be a good idea to get more than one tournament sponsor. Bring in DXS and KEE and see where things go. It would not surprise me to see lower paint costs from that just because they have to compete with each others pricing. That is, if both companies would go for it

The problem with that is the MPS isn't as big as the PSP and a company would probably just say "us soley or find someone else".

What you could always try to do is do what series are doing now and make it a psp feeder. That would attract a lot of teams

if that were to be done the format would need to be changed to straight up raceto format... though fun and entertaining, it is not always the most financially feasible for most teams/players, however, the vicious series is doing fairly well up in Nebraska, so it could work

This is true but it would be hard for them to compete with that series since it has been around longer and then the avid series also is new and seems like it attracted a lot of teams.
