The Purpose of This Forum ~~ EVERYONE READ ~~
It seems that there is some confusion as to what the "Custom Markers" forum is for. It is not intended for markers that have been customized via milling, anno, or any other mod. This forum is for CUSTOM MARKERS not CUSTOMIZED MARKERS. That means that it is not a production marker. It isn't a timmy with custom anno, it isn't a half-blocked cocker, it isn't anything that is mass produced.
If you've come up with your own idea for a new type of marker, it should be posted here. If you've taken an existing marker and made it into something completely different in operation, it should be posted here. If you sent a marker off for custom milling, anno, halfblocking, or added a pump kit, it DOES NOT belong here. Things like that go in either the marker specific forums, or in the Voided Warranty forum if the mod is something that would void a warranty (custom milling, a pump spyder, a cocker with re-arranged pneus, etc).
If you've had a thread deleted, this is probably why. I suggest you re-make it in the proper forum.
I will leave this thread open so I can answer any questions that come up.

If it is a PS of a CUSTOM MARKER, yes it should go here.
If it is a PS of a Ego with custom milling, no....it should go in either the ego forum or the voided warranty forum.

Like the guy above said, it has always been this way. We just didn't have enough staff to moderate this section like we should have.
It should have been common sense though. We have the General Marker Forums. There is a forum for pretty much every gun in production. Then there is a Custom Markers forum. Logic should tell you that it is intended for markers other than the markers that we have a marker specific forum for. No one thought it needed explaining. Lately there have been more and more "look at how I milled my ego" type threads. That has nothing to do with "Custom Markers". So, I made this sticky hoping to help fix the problem.

hmm, well would the impulse/dm4/5 be considered custom?
or the rainmaker/pm6?
if guns are mixed together in such a way (aside from adding a frame) that they look completely different is that considered custom?

While I do agree that people were abusing the "custom" moniker a bit in this forum, I think there's never going to be a good defintion of what fits into this category and what doesn't. It's just too subjective.

There are numerous threads about that in the Voided Warranty section. A spyder that has been baked is still a spyder. It has been customized, but it's not a custom marker.

Say I have a custom fabricated piece to convert a CCM pump kit to a mini pump kit, where would it go? I guess it's custom but the whole gun isn't custom...
???
I guess I will just post in the pump marker thread....

Definitely voided warranty, not sure about here. I mean you did custom fabricate a part that cannot be bought off the shelf.

people actually post in the rules sticky? I think we should do some site work that makes you read the rules thread before you can post in a sub forum.

Does making a completely custom, from scratch receiver with off-the-shelf internals count for this thread? Or if I were modifying a genuine firearm with paintball internals?
