Is a new type of game play possible for .50 cal?

Not sure if this was talked about but I just came back from a giant campus the abandoned Pennhurst teaching school and hospital/asylum for the insane. It was closed and reopened as a haunted house. The haunted house sucked but I noticed it has at least a dozen buildings.

All I could think about was how fun it would be to play close quarter war games in this building, except that a regular .68 cal paintball would probbie hurt. It seemed almost perfect for playing urban assault in these buildings though using smaller 50 cal paint.

Thoughts?

Just play regular .68 and save yourself the trouble. It hurts for 3 seconds and then it's over. It would probably be the equivalent of playing hyper ball.

You're not getting it at all.

I mean for close urban assault type of training/play. Storming through a building, popping into a door shooting someone from within 5 feet. With a 50 it would increase the level of safety in training/playing this way.

Few and little have reported any difference from being hit from a 50 and 68.

Have you personally been shot with either at the 5 feet range?

yes, .50 would work here but do you really wanna buy a new loader, gun, and paint just for cqb? besides the people who do that most already have the .43 and rap4's milsim markers, so there's no need for a .50

For short range, chrono .68 down to 250 fps or so and you are good to go with no new equipment needed. The bigger advantage I see possible with .50 is less mess to clean up for indoor fields. The question then becomes whether such savings will make it down to us, the consumers.
