Looking to Start College Club.
Okay so I’m looking to start a paintball club at my school. I’ve started talking to administration but we have a dean who's extremely concerned about the safety and liability issues. I've been playing for the past 17 years so I know that paintballs safe but how do you approach someone that’s sure it’s too dangerous? Anyone with some experience getting past these issues?

There is also some sites with safety stats. I did a paper on paintball in a public speech class. And paintball is considered one of the safest sports you can play. I'll see if I can relocate the site and stats for you. Also have you school check out the big name schools that have a team or get a letter from those schools.

What school?
You have been playing 17 years...and still in college?
I guess its not that bad...ive been playing 15, and still doing the school thing. lmao.

"You have been playing 17 years...and still in college?"
Haha... Ive been playing since I was 2. First time I got hit it broke on my diaper. My Dad used to own a big field in South Dakota, so I've been with the sport almost 18 years. Im at Berry College in Rome GA.

step one is to transfer to KSU and play with us!
but seriously, paintball is one of the most popular AND safest sports (statistically) in the world. find some stats to back that up. Then bring attention to the schools like KSU, GT, Liberty, Ol' Miss, Penn State, etc. that have well established paintball programs. Teach them about the NCPA and make sure you know what you're talking about, and make sure they can tell you do. Thats your best bet. Go in confident and prepared.

Really who do ya'll know? and we do have a good amount of guys here with some good interest in Paintball. just need to figure a way to harness the interest. |

First Find a teacher that will sponsor/oversee meetings at the school.
Approach the school's board about starting a paintball sports program.
Give examples of other GA colleges with paintball.
KSU, GT, UGA, GSU, CSU, currently forming GA Southern.
Read up on the NCPA website.... it'll really get things going for you!

They did but it disbanded somewhere between 2001 and 2007 when i got there. ive talked about restarting it but our dean of students is pretty against it "due to liability" |
