yeah, I am not camping. Why should I be there by 8? I have never been to Iwo Jima. Is it on one huge wooded field?

its pretty big yea. i'd be there at 8 to get my registration, air tank fills & chrono done before the huge lines start up & in order to have time to relax a bit before they lead everyone down to the starting points. least year we started about 30 mins late due to people not being ready on time.
here's the property.

Thanks to all that came out! I hope everyone had a good time.
Please post up or PM me any feedback you have to help make next year's event even better.

i only have one minor problem, which is that at times, it seemed like some of the refs got lazy, and didnt handle situations properly. Other than that, the scenario was great.

most of the "situations" that went on would have been settled right on the spot. some players did not accept the call that we made so they fought it. I can understand y some ppl might be confused when 1 player is able to bunker half of thier team and capture there base without them knowing. the player that did this did not call "BUNKER or SURRENDER" other wise it would have been solved faster

I apologize about the reffing. L337 Krew normally refs the AZ scenarios, but we worked it out with Skinny so we could play this year because we hadn't played a scenario at our own field in 2 years (we missed it!). I suppose that was a mistake esp. since I my team has set a pretty high standard for scenario reffing at AZ. The only scenario events that L337 Krew gets to play in are the ones being held at other fields. After hearing all the feedback about the reffing, it is clear that we need to go back to reffing all the scenarios. I cannot speak for the rest of my team, but I will commit myself to running and reffing ALL AZ scenarios for as long as my team's sponsorship continues. I will do everything I can to ensure all AZ scenarios continue to be an enjoyable experience.
