Try this first.
Take a razor and scrap the paint off. Hold the razor straight, don't angle it so you avoid cutting into the mask.
If that doesnt work, try removing it with a little acetone.
If that doesnt work, use 400 grit sandpaper and gently sand it out. Anything higher will probably just polish the paint, anything lower may chew up the rubber.

How well does that 3M adhesive hold up? My only worry about taking the foam off is getting them back on with a strong enough adhesive...

Its as if the manufacturer put it on for you. I haven't had a single problem yet. I submerge my mask is water after every game (minus the lens) to clean it, and then allow it to air dry. The foam and adhesive hasn't moved.

as to date there is no spray paint made suitable for soft rubber & flexible plastic, I talk to Krylon they confirmed the Fusion paint is only suitable on hard non flexi plastic only. on rubbel it will crack & pell off easily...

Used loctite 380 black max to glue the foam back on. So far so good. Tech's at Dye recommended to use that.
