GTA: Any old guys out there playing speedball???
Just getting back in the sport after 10 years of being out. Lots of my old team mates are now with kids and such and don't get out as much, so I am looking to see if there Mid-30 players in the GTA who want just want to scrimmage for kicks at like splatters on a sunday (BYOP).
Post here if you remember when Automags and Autocockers were the markers to have .

Older paintballer in his early 40s.
Hey Buddy,
I'm just getting back into the sport after a 15 year break. The last paintball marker I used was an automag at wasaga beach. Currently looking at purchasing either a Phenom mechanical and or a Planet Eclipse Etek 3Lt. I heard the phenom shoots almost like an automag. I heard a lot of not so good reviews about splatters but if a bunch of older players is going then I would consider. Keep me posted.

Not in the GTA, but "older" LOL mid-thirties and getting back into it. Hopefully your knee's last longer than mine will hehe. Sucks when you punish your body when younger...and pay for it now.

... of course there are still some old 'ballers out there! i haven't stopped playing speedball since the mid-90's (skyball). still play twice a week on vancouver island. and YES(!) i used an automag all throughout the later 90's and early 2000's. what a great gat. finally bought an ego and haven't looked back (much).
it's great to c some of the earlier speedballers come back out. grab your kids, and their friends, and keep it going!
tom palmer (b.c. supernaturals - still) since 1986.

I remember going to the first Skyball, that was sweet to see the pro teams come up to play in the city. Dam it was a like blizzard that day but the dome was boiling.
Good to see there are the old ballers still going strong. Hmmmm- maybe a masters class xball division

Good to see the old dogs get back into the game. Me and buddies are looking to play the Speedball house league at NEXT paintball Monday nights in the Older bracket

Is 28 considered to be an old guy? And yes, I do remember when mags and cockers ruled the world
I just got back into the sport myself after a 4 year break and would be down to for playing at splatter on a Sunday morning with a group of older and more mature players.
I agree with Minitets, posting up on tdotballer.com might be a better idea as the site gets a lot more traffic then this section.

I'm in my early 30's and play twice a week still.
Played NPPL semipro for the past 2 seasons.
Played my first pro event this year at World Cup with the Naughty Dogs.
Never too late to start seeing as I only started playing competitively 3yrs ago.

I turned 49 this summer, played MR nations 2 years in a row rookie div, placed 4th & 8TH. Came down with Rheumatoid arthritis and missed last year. My paintball days are numbered but I had a great time.
PS I have no paitences for bushball or milsim. I do all that walking to get shot out by a guy hiding in the bush. Since I'm old my eye sght is getting weaker which makes those guys in the bush harder to see.
Speedball atleast I have a better idea where the opposing team are..spary & makem pay . Instant action, get shot, walk off field= 20 feet, rest , go back out next round

Bringing this thread back from the dead....
I've also recently gotten back into paintball. I played at a bachelor party a couple of weeks ago and it reminded me just how fun this can be! If the older crowd (hehe, I'm 32) is getting together, shoot me a message... I'll play.
