FSDO Issue, with a twist
So, I traded a Dark Matter Viking for a Luxe, I was told it had a leak and not much else, formerly being a MacDev tech and tech center, I've seen some messed up stuff and was more than confident in teching and fixing the marker.
Fastforward to where we're at now:
The marker was missing manifold orings, screws, hadn't been lubed in god knows how long... it was rough. I rebuilt the entire marker, handfitting every oring in the marker (mix of buna and urethane), lubed to look wet with oiled down militia lube, and I have FSDO issues. I've tuned the manifold, hpr, tried with the FT in and out, and no such luck. My issue, the joystick apparently doesn't work on this board (fun surprise), so... is there another way to eliminate the FSDO before I just polish/spring mod this thing?
Thanks for your help, again, sorry if this has been covered, I searched but didn't really see anything that helped out.
Chris

set everything on your gun back to stock then adjust.

I'm assuming since the joystick doesn't work, you cannot adjust the dwell and FSDO?
If somehow you can adjust the dwell and FSDO, what settings do you have now? I would suggest looking at the manual and putting the marker at stock settings. Pushing and holding the joystick for three whole seconds will reset the settings back to their default values. After the factory reset takes place the speaker will chirp several times.
Stock settings for dwell is 12ms, ABS is 7ms. I got this info from http://www.zdspb.com/tech/luxe/electronics_stock.html
Also check out these links:

You can also find the manual on that site.
If you had a spring and polish bolt mod, my settings for dwell is, I believe, 12ms and the FSDO at 3, with the Feathertouch screw out. Manifold screw is 1.5 turns in from flush.

My brother had a luxe that also had really bad FSDO.
his luxe was also missing teh joystick, but he used a tiney alen key to get to the board modes,
I suggested he raise the FSDO dwell to like 20, and raise the normal dwell by 2 and his gun didnt have any fsdo after that.

the joystick is there, it just doesn't work at all, I even removed the board assembly and attempted to get it to work, but I believe the switch itself is just broken internally (I might try to find a replacement and solder it on).
like I said, with the joystick being broken and non-functioning, I can not check the settings nor can I reset it (that I know of really).
I lubed the marker only to the point of the orings looking wet, this is how we do it for MacDev, so I am fairly certain its not over lubed.
any other ideas?

Without knowing your board settings, its hard to predict if the issue is a dwell or FSDO/ABS setting. I'd get that board fixed first before getting any other modification, such as a polished bolt and spring mod.

I did check the fitment of the sail and front can orings, both fit and seal properly. I suppose project 1 is trying to get the joystick to work then

yeah, and I'm leaning towards trying to repair it, rather than dropping $100 on replacing it.

is the switch soldiered to the board? I haven't opened a luxe but I remember you could jump dm4/5 boards with an allen key if the switch pad broke. you might be able to jump the switch on the luxe board and program it using jumps.
