We still have the same issue. The quality of work that would be offered would probably go down. We don't want people who aren't trained or qualified to offer a service they shouldn't be performing.

The services must be under $50, does that include shipping? Shipping is about $12 each way for a marker via USPS which means I can only charge labor services $26 total. Which I guess is reasonable but if I spend more than 2 hours working on a marker I'm not making much.
I'm assuming shipping isn't included in the $50, but I want to make sure before I start up my service.

I have a method for cleaning paintball clothes (pants/jerseys/cleats) to a like-new condition no matter how set in the stains are. I am also skilled in mending/repairing fabrics. This is a service I would love to provide to my fellow ballers for a set price of _____. The problem is, I'm not sure what I should charge, or if anyone would even pay for this kind of service..
So John, I guess what I'm trying to do here is 2 things...
1) Suggest some sort of trial offer. If said service doesn't get any hits, then I lose nothing. Although $1/day is cheaper than most phone bills. It's a risk, I understand.
2) Seeing if, after reading this, anyone at all PM's me that they would be interested in such a service.

hey John, i have a question. i do offer a service, mainly for ICD guns with the harnesses. now, i would fall into this category for the forum, but i have such a limited market and people that i would constantly loose money if i where to put it up here. example, a harness of mine for a blind gun costs $20 shipped. if you consider that my profit is $10 on that harness, i would live for 10 days with $1 per day. but, from June, when i started this, i have sold about 10 harnesses. this doesn't take in the fact that my crimp tool was $300 as well as the cost for all the parts needed to make a harness, i would loose money here, and thus loose out on people that do need this, as posting here would be detrimental to my business.
i understand that the site costs money to maintain it. i also understand that people who offer a service should have some sort of reputation and deliver on product promises, as anyone can say they do something. but in all honesty, if someone like myself where to post here, they wouldn't be able to keep in business, especially for old guns that might need the service, as they will loose money trying to adhere to the rules. call it a loophole, but i call it a way to stifle the smaller paintball community.
