That is an awesome idea. Or I could just use it to print $1500 and break even.

i have heard of that before. heres an old abc article
http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/sto...1603783&page=1
here is a newer one
http://www.disinfo.com/2010/03/new-d...kjet-printing/
its amazing how fast this stuff develops fist article is from 2006 and says maybe some day they might be able to print living tissue and in 2010 not only are they succeeding at printing living tissue but it is already being used in surgery. given its not an organ but considering 4 yrs ago it was only a theory not bad not bad at all.

Let me know if you guys want any other pictures. Note it doesn't actually work yet, I'm waiting on a few more parts for the extruder, and the extruder controller board still isn't in stock.

Its a galileo thermometer, pretty neat little thing. The lowest floating bulb in the top group tells you the temperature.

That would be so awesome to have, but I can only come up with a few things to make, after that I worry it would just sit there.

But when you're getting it for free... Who could say no?
Plus I can always print off more sets to sell to others.

Let me know when you get it going.
Are they coming out with a new RepRap generation past Mendel? Is the metal extruder going to be a third generation RepRap or what?
