Just curious how are the brackets determined?? Which teams in what bracket ? I know you did not use the snake. Thanks and Ill wait to hear from you.

6. Tournament Structure

6.1. Preliminary Round Seeding
6.1.1. Teams in each division in the preliminary round will be seeded according to their ranking within their division.
6.1.2. Teams will be seeded into preliminary round brackets according to [a matrix]

NOTE: It's all electronic based upon team ranking from the 2010 season in the APPA system.

So say a Team is ranked 3rd and you have 16 teams playing then the 3 ranked team would draw the 14th seed correct ? Again Im just asking there is not a problem. Thanks

naw, it goes by season standings..

if there is 20 teams, there is 4 brackets of 5.. the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ranked teams are the top in each brackets. then 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th fall under them. so one bracket would have 1st, 8th, 9th, 16th, 17th ranked team. then in prelims you play the four teams in your bracket. at least that is how race to 5 does it. im sure its pretty much the same for lower divisions

It goes off of season standings for seeding. If a team is unranked then it goes off of their strength of roster. What gets tough is with odd numbers of teams we have to make some groups of 5 and some with 6. If we had a number divisible by 5 it would make life real easy. But that never happens.

Hi Mike !! one of the players just called me and asked then HOW can the number 3 seed be in the same BKT as the number 4 seed ? season standings I have no answer. Can you help. Thanks

If you do a snake seeding like this

I'm not sure how the 16 and 17 seed works. But that should help out.

Event 4 Playoff Structure

D2 has 9 teams - Top 4 make the playoffs
D3 has 17 teams - Top 8 make the playoffs
D4 has 28 teams - Top 12 make the playoffs
Pump has 10 teams - Top 4 make the playoffs
