New to NPPL

So I have been playing PSP for 4 years, but moving has cause me to tryout for an NPPL team. I just want to make sure that the NPPL rules are still uncapped semi. True?

Edit: And is the game played any differently i.e. speed of the moves, key parts of the field, etc.

Feel kinda stupid for having to ask this since I've been around paintball for close to 7 years, I've just never dealt with 7-man.

a) yes uncapped semi
difference between psp
1) slower paced to an extent
2) moves are more crucial
3) bodys alive are crucial - cant just run through and bunker someone and trade out and think its ok
4) unlike psp - nppl fields are balanced - snake is just as important as doritos

One addition: In PSP a team will take a beating and can not consistently be subject to or benefit from bad ref calls. In NPPL, a championship can be in the hands of the ref's because each game means so much. In PSP, you can hide being a bad team or having a bad day for long because game after game you will get beaten down and everyone will see it.

7 man snake is a lot more dangerous, if u dnt hold the snake tape/snake itself ur done cuz theres no coaches to tell u wut notch he may be in, also key bunkers r much harder to get into, teams will hold down those key bunkers nd jus keep gunnin u down till they shoot u out of it, u jus gotta be patient cuz u dnt hav to get a certain amount of points, u hav 7 mins to take one point that matters a lot

To reiterate, the difference are:
Semi Uncapped (more paint being slung around)
No Coaching (you have to think for yourself and communicate with your team)
Eliminations and Bodies alive at the end mean POINTS!!
7 guys = more targets and more support
Corner players are necessary on the tape, for the most part
Yes, slower paced, but more action, if that makes sense....it is spread out, not concentrated.
Oh, and the flag is at the other end of the field, so run like the wind!!

Also, if your team is getting their *** handed to them, no hitting the buzzer...play it out!

Ah I did forget about no coaching, but that's ok with me since I play d-side in PSP and can never hear my coach anyway.

The coaching makes a diff. The fields in both leagues are balanced. I can't agree about slower pace as I remember watching some teams move and ball a X speed plaing 7! 7-man is more about survival and field awareness as the survivors must be able to clean up, get down the field and get the flag back to their starting end!

xball in my opinon - people are more doing run throughs and with the ramping theres more "splatter" and its just overall more exciting to me

the reason why i feel its slower paced and less exciting to play nppl is because nppl is more about the unexpecting shots (in the side etc) since its more sneaky...and people arent doing bunkers/runthroughs AS MUCH -- however this also makes it exciting - nothing better than watching a dude get behind everyone and just start shooting people in the back and watching the other team get all confused

From a spectators point of view hearing 14 guns roll of the break on unlimited semi is pretty spectacular. You don't notice it when you're playing but as a spectator its really a plus to be able to hear a difference in the guns and player's shooting speeds. Hearing the drone of 12.5 or 10.5 even can't get to a guy after a while.
Also when theres no coaching amazingly stupid things tend to happen and people can pull off insane moves.
