The best way to prevent barrel wear is to either replace the pump handle setup with an undercocking kit or to accept the fact that its gonna happen.

I've had pretty damn good luck with detent rings. They are an incredibly cheap fix and the stock pipe is pretty damn good. Most phantom users will tell you that the stock barrel is good enough, and it is.

As far as stocks go, I really like the L stock over the adjustable T stock. The T stock on mine would constantly come undone and move on me, however it could have just been that one. I also like having a bottomline setup with either a 9oz or a 13/3000. Best bet is to line it up like you would a firearm. Everyone is different so what ever works for you works lol.

Also, try to grab a spring kit and maybe a seals kit for it. You will need it eventually.

couldn't have said it better. I have a freak bored barrel & CP but only use the stock barrel & detent rings if necessary.

I also use a 9 oz on/off tank & buttplate.

there's really nothing I care to change.

3. cock the gun when u r gunna shoot while you are running or put a little peice of electrical tape on the inside or your barrel so it is under bored

for aim i put my index fingure along side the barrel and pull the trigger with my middle(easy on my bad wrist) i pull my elbow in tight same spot stiff marker off to the right not in my face and built my shot from 10 feet back musscle memory lots of practice

find whats comfortable for u and build it lots of practice

yea the detent rings that come stock with phantoms suck and dont work very well i would recomend going to cci's website and orderinga new barrel because 1. the polishing is way beter then previous years for better acuracy and 2. the new barrels are lathed so detent rings are not necisary. hope this helps
