Alright guys so a huge update!! Jeff, the advisor who I had asked to sign off on our club, said that he would be happy to do it for us!!

I will be meeting with him either tomorrow or monday to fill out the paperwork

by next friday our club should be all up and running!

Update
I just talked to Jeff and registration opens up tomorrow for the clubs so once I register on their website I can get everything signed off and make the club official.

Me and Jeff talked for a bit today and it seems that he will be very helpful and willing to do what he can to make this club turn out pretty awesome.

This Saturday, as others said, they will be heading out to FAP and I think that would be the best meeting place for all of us.

Does that sound good to everyone else for our first "meeting"?

Who here is good with public speaking and not afraid to talk to random businesses to try and gain some type of sponsorship..?
Im more than willing to get this club running but when it comes to talking to people about that type of stuff I am not so good..

Also, does anyone here have any hookups or know anyone who has hookups with either
Paintball fields, stores, companies, personal businesses, etc.

Techincally speaking if someone were to sponsor us with cash for events,paint,field fee etc they would be able to write it off on their taxes. It is not dollar for dollar, but some companies like these types of things.

I think the first 2 things we need to do as far as sponsorship goes is to get a field that is willing to let us play for free/discount if we get enough guys out or something like that, and also hopefully find some company willing to get us a discount on paint if we buy a pallat at a time.

If anyone here has connections or the know-how don't be afraid to speak up!

Not to Hi-Jack the thread or anything, but I saw a couple people at ASU today sporting paintball gear. There was a kid in my Calc class that had a Monkey With a Gun hat on and I passed a guy with a Eclipse shirt and bag in the computing commons a little after 1pm. Anybody on here?

definitely not a hijack. I havent seen anyone in my classes, but if I did I would for sure say something to them.

Once I finish everything ill try and get some type of mass email sent out in hopes to get more people.

Although it is the beginning of the semester its still pretty hectic so things are not going as quick as Id like, but I still anticipate things being done by this weekend.

Cool. I'm on the Tempe campus Tu/Th and the Polytechnic campus M/W/F if it makes a difference. Maybe we should get a thread going with our schedules and where our classes are.
