from my experience of losing 80pounds losing fat is going take muscle with it. i was benching 235 before i dieted and i probally was taking in to little calories which would have aided in keeping more muscle as the process went on but basically kept the same running working out regiment and went benching 235 to only getting 5 reps of 155 so just dont over diet and it should work is my theory. just use your creatine and eat protein with as little fat as possible so u can get asmuch protein for your calorie amount per day.

The goal of wanting to both lose weight AND build muscle. I’ve noticed this to be the cause of a lot of confusion, so let’s get it all straightened out..there are absolutely no reasons to first ONLY lose weight, and then, when the weight is finally gone, first begin to build muscle.

In order to lose weight, you need to be in a calorie deficit. In order to gain weight, you need to be in a calorie surplus. Therefore, it is not possible. The best way to approach this is to find your BMR (basal metabolic rate) and add in your activity level to find you TEE (total energy expenditure). This will be the amount of calories you burn every day. Then subtract 500 calories from this number. This will be your target number of daily calories. A 500 cal deficit/day equals 3500 cals a week, or one pound. If your diet is in check and you continue to work out, you should see results. If you don't achieve the results you are looking for after a few weeks, critique your diet and/or training. Subtract 500 calories at a time. If you eat too few calories, your body will enter "starvation mode" and actually hold onto the fat you have.

i been able to still lose fat and still gain muscle this summer. i lift in the morning drink protein then come back to the gym 3 hours later and run for 30 mins. im also on a no carb diet.
lifting raises your Metabolism which burns calories faster.
i would run and lift if i were you
