Question problem with maintaining air pressure

so I have a smart parts epiphany everything stock.

ok so I recently went out to go woodsballing and hooked up my gun and tried it out like usual but when I shot it, it would shoot one shot about 200psi then after that it would keep the pressure in the gauge on my gun about 200 but when I shot it I would guess it shot about 50psi possibly less. so I took apart the entire gun and cleaned it then lubed it with what I had, the only part I didn't take apart was the spring in the regulator. If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated.

it shot 50psi?? can we get some FPS numbers please? i don't quite get what the problem is.

initial reactions are that your dwell setting is mixed up though. pull out ye ol manual and follow the directions on optimizing dwell.

I just set them today I have the dwell set at 20 and the rof is set between 25. I can't give you fps because I don't have a chrono but I can say it wouldn't give it enough pressure to push the ball out of the gun

ok. does the first shot shoot ok?

It could possibly be a problem/leak in your solenoid.

That REALLY sounds like a dwell issue but you say it isn't so....i dunno.
IF it is a solenoid problem then you're probably gunna need a new board, but i just don't know. if i were you i would take the body off (leave the banjo on) and plug in some air, see if you hear any leaks. give the gun a few shots and see if you can see/hear something bad happening.

If not....i dunno. take it to your local pro shop if you can, that is beyond my expertise.

make sure all of your hoses are the right length (not crimped), and that you have a fresh battery in the gun. Epiphanies are energie hogs. Old batteries account for about 95% of the problems with them.

also, take out any of the firing can inserts you may have in there. you should be running with no firing can and about 200 PSI just fine with dwell at 20-28.

cleaned it again and turned the dwell up to about 30 and started working, so I guess it was the dwell thanks again for the advice

make sure you keep it well lubed and always use fresh batteries if something starts going amiss.

glad we could help!
