S7 format???

First to 3 is too much. Best of 3 is a lot better.

If the schedule would work the way that I assume it will, each team will have 4 matches in prelims.

First to 3 means up to 20 games, just in prelims. That's a **** ton of paint. This isn't 2005 where I can get 100 free cases just because I know someone who knows someone who might own a store.

Best of 3 means 8-12 games, which would be about the same amount of paint consumption and more fun than the current format. It would also be a lot easier on a small roster.

Watched it at BCPPL and it looked like a blast. The teams seemed to enjoy it a lot. Combines all the good things of 7-man with many of the good features of xball.

If you are gonna have 9 or so on a roster just bring back 10 man. Please, please, please....

the brackets would most likely drop to 4-5 teams per bracket meaning you would only play a handful of games. Also because its a race to format, games would be faster and a little more reckless, hopefully evening out the amount of games compared to long boring stalemate games where each team shoots 1/2 a case to a case per player depending on position. I don't know, it seems pretty awesome to me!

I like how it is bringing more Athleticism to the sport as well. Making the games more intense and also giving a team a shot to come back from a 2-0 standing and beat them 2-3. More action bringing more people back to the semi format to enjoy the speed of the games.

Seems kind of useless to me.

Disregarding the face I prefer the race to 7 man, just saying. Why not just get it over with like should have happened after the 2008(and 07,06, 05, etc after split) bankrupt season and merge already? Damn

It seems like the nppl is trying to compete more in the pap format (probably because their format has been losing ground badly) personally I always preferred no coach and the 7 man fields. Give me a race format with those field and nobody screaming at the kid I'm about to stick to turn I think I'd like that.

This is something I thought should have happened for a long time... Only thing I would have done different is use timed penalties similar to Xball, but Im sure that would have been a logistical nightmare for a 7man league to do. Still pree cool, excited to see some raw game footage. Hope it takes off.

idk it just doesn't make sense to me. Its not enough like x ball for them to play and its no longer 7-man

or people could get in shape and play, this isnt xball where u have the possibility to play 20+ games, its max 5, then your normal break in your bracket, actually going to be a much larger break since every other 2 teams playing will take at least 3 games before you could possibly be back on the field.

Why change the format? Why follow the PSP? We have a format that is all or nothing and what gets better than that? If you want to play best of 3, make SUNDAY.

I like the S7 format idea.

In our area we have a hard time finding PSP teams that are willing to go semi and drop the coach. Most of us have seen what happens to players who are too used to ramping when they try to play NPPL.

You see a huge difference in skill level when a player cannot ramp. Roll your markers I say. Leave the machine gun for phenoms and MW2.

I also like the chance to play more than 8 games. This way even if we dont make Sunday we get a good amount of matches for our money.

Just my opinion.
