well, playing is mostly preference, go to a local dealer and handle both. ive had the epiphany for about 2 years i think. love to shoot it, and upgrades are every where (thanks to the ion). but id be curious to see what a g3 could do...

G3 is way easier to maintain, but the stock board is very, very limited.

lol shot it sunday and it was shooting as good as any gun out their. If i need some thing better ill just find an ion part and upp it bit by bit. no need for that 1000 buck gun when 250 will do it just fine

I have owned ions, shockers, tippmanns, autocockers, spyders, minis, a dp fusion, eteks and ego and sold or traded them but still own a epiphany. I felt like a idiot owning a sweet ego and only going a few times a year. All the minimum upgrades I would do to ion are stock on the epiphany. If total disassembly to get to the bolt to lube it bothers you look for something else.

Disassemby to get to the bolt is the annoying thing with the Epiphany for me, besides that I got the Epiphany when it first came out and still use it, even when I use paintball competitively.

I dont know anything about the g3 but i absolutely love my epiphany. The stock trigger is in my opinion the best stock trigger on the market youll be able to walk that thing right out of the box. But don't forget to set your dwell and rof and all that jazz. It helps a lot but the epiphany is a great gun to shoot it looks sick and it is very accurate cuz it has the freak jr. on it. The epiphany can keep up with a lot of high end guns on the field. Happy Hunting
