Seen that there was no bull riding or horse related threads on here, so I figured why not?
Anyhow I am a in fact a real cowboy, hence my handle name on here, WARCOWBOY.
I am a pro bull rider, and have been doing it for the last 9 years.
Pretty rough sport for those who can hang with it, and I should know because I have had my ribs and other bones cracked, including getting my teeth kicked in.
But hell, its all good to me.
Anyways I have been a member of SEBRA, ARA, OCRA, and other smaller time organizations.
I have not made it on TV yet, but thats because I am not good enough yet and I admit it. Only the top 40 in the world get this honer, and there is a lot, and I mean a lot of rodeo cowboys out there that all want the same thing.
I have however won my fair share of events, and even won first in the ARA year end finals. Took checks home from $400 - $2,500.
Not to shabby when it only takes 8 seconds in the office huh?
On another note I am also a horseman, and have been riding and training horses of all sorts of breeds since I was 13.
I competed or dabbled in many events such as hunter jumper, western pleasure, cutting, and even breaking horses that most people won't.
I still break and train hoses to this day.
Some of my best memories include riding with my best friend Jason through a drive threw at hardeys and arbys, getting run off by 7-11 management for my horse ****ting in the parking lot, and running from cops one forth of July night because a friend of mine and I decided to run the horses down an appartments chain, beer in one hand, cigarette in the other, drunk as hell
screaming the red coats are coming.
Haha, the cops told us to stop, and we where like.... Uh, No...
And ran them into a long field where they had to stop because we went into a tree line and that was that. Best all terrain vehicles ever!
Me @ 3 haha
So, here are some pics of me competing and riding.
Rosy and me @ 13yrs, competing in the "East Coast National Cutting" Lexington VA.
Race horse "Dallas"
The best horse anyone could have, this guy gos anywhere, fears nothing and was the main horse for all our public infringements.
This was my best friend Jason Redifer's horse. I have him now, as Jason @ 19 lost his life fighting in Iraq. I miss him greatly, he was more of a brother than a friend.
His story can be found here> http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/jcredifer.htm
L9 Pale Rider
Its like newtons law. And its not if or when, it will
happen sooner or later in this sport!
