i can understand the need for a mercy rule option...
however, we would be against it. just keep playing and if anything put in more unexperienced players to get some extended play time. same concept as all other sports.

Well the way we see it is that if you shoot 10-15 cases a match at say $35 a case, then if a situation arises where this rule is needed; then you are looking at saving $175-250 on an unwinnable match or a match youve already won.
We could just treat it as an optional thing and deal with it on a case by case basis?

It's 8-10 cases a match. So let's go really high on the estimate and say you save 3 cases and $100.
But, if you pro-rate your regular season play time, to save $100 in paint, you have to give up over $100 in play time - not to mention travel time, practice time, etc, etc....
I would suggest that if the possibility of saving $100 not finishing matches is a big deal to you, that your program should possibly reconsider playing Class A and stick with AA.

So to trail off from the topic. I have a couple of proposed dates that work for UT. Here is my proposal:
Event 1: Liberty - October 2nd
Event 2: Charlotte, NC (Where we go every year) - November 6th
We will worry about event 3 later on.
What do you guys think?

Oct. 2nd should be good for the event at LU. I have to okay it with Club Sports...
Nov. 6th should also be good for us. The past 2 years we have played PBC Greensboro. (last year they had NO scoreboard, just a dude with a laptop... , but they have turf. We also played PBC Rockhill last year, but the scoreboards were only there because of CFOA. I am just stating facts... really don't care one way or the other... Greensboro is closer for us...
thoughts?

Hmm good points. Rock Hill is an hour closer to us but further for the VA teams. We are good with either one though. And just let us know what your club sports office says. I figure if we get it turned in this early then we will be fine.

Those dates look fine to me, ones a no football weekend and the other is a mediocre away game.
As for fields how much further is Greensboro from UT and Kennesaw? If its not that big a difference Id prefer there.

Its like 5 hours from us and Rock Hill is 4. The time difference isn't an issue for us

Love this organization. It's about time we had our priorities in order BEFORE the school year started.

I personally have had a change of perception. I had always thought it was the NCPA holding things up... I now see that WE are the NCPA and WE need to make this stuff happen. This conference seems to be all on the same page without major personality issues which will make event planning go a lot smoother.
I meet with my office of Club Sports tomorrow about our AA event and I will also discuss our A event. I am picking up a scoreboard for our field this weekend from MAO.
