AGREED!
Here's a partial list from memory:
Chip Kuhrt
Biff Thiele
Tom Cole
Bill Gardner
Adam Gardner
Kevin Donaldson
Jerry Braun
Rene Boucher
Fred Schultz
Russell Maynard
Bob Long
Renick Miller
Al Podufaly
Skip Swift
Joe Fortin
Ron Kilbourne
Steve Davidson
It would be kind of pointless for the awards to go to anyone but the founders of the league the first time around - pointless, potentially insulting, an injustice to history and would most likely be viewed as politicizing something that really ought not to be.
In fact, it might even turn into an issue that I'd have to write about on a regular and strident basis if it isn't handled properly, professionally and honorably.

Everyone forget about Debra Dion Kritsche? She used to run this little event called IAO. It was one of the first major events to pull speedball out of the woods.

Is this going to be the NPPL hall of Fame or the Paintball Hall of Fame?
If in Fact this is the NPPL Hall of Fame 68's post is correct!!!!
I agree that the first inductees should be the Captains and players that originally held those covert meetings that changed the face of tournament Paintball forever!!!!!!

Misfit, you need to learn your history a bit: NPPL was played in the woods the first two seasons - no airball. Some others that you mentioned were in on the founding meeting, and several others that you've listed were actively campaigning against it.
The names and list in the pic I posted were the folks who got off their butts, in many cases defied their sponsors, ran the risk that they would never be welcome at anyone else's tournaments, put up dollars, time, a lot of aggravation and put their personal cred at risk to make the NPPL happen.
Some of the folks you mentioned contributed mightily - either through political support or innovation, but someone had to lead and risk the shots in order to make it happen. Those are the folks who should be inducted the first year.
Otherwise, quite frankly, the whole idea becomes meaningless. As someone else said, that would be like the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown not having any mention of Abner Doubleday. You can call it whatever you want to, but if it is going to be taken seriously and become what it can be (and I hope it becomes), then it has to reflect the Truthful history.

You're a funny guy. You think I don't know that? How many people in this forum actually played 10 man in the woods. I can only name a couple.
I put Laurent on the list because of his extensive work in Europe, which I will add filtered to this side of the pond, not the other way around. I know Milt has done some good work as well with Ultimate Air and Ultimate madness.
I played those first seasons, in the woods.
So since we are looking to add to the list,
I'll go with Robery "Rosie" Rose, Dennis Mood, and Lane Wright who of course WON'T Get in since they choose to stick it out with the PSP, and not go with Pure Paintball Promotions when the PSP and NPPL Split - but you'd can't deny these three were instrumental. Maybe we should include them too? I would also add Paul Stattler.

there are way to many people to name now. but just so people dont over look them, id like to put in MY coaches.
Glenn Forster-coach and player of team dynasty. (when they were actually good)
and Jingle Rapiz-coach and player of stoned assassins, team ironmen, and handful of other teams.
these two men r the 2 most unapreciated professional legends there are, and should be proberly recognized.

Keep in mind.. this is the NPPL Hall Of Fame, not the paintball industry.
There will be players that will be snubbed. Ultimately due to their quiet way they went about things. Looking at the suggestions, I see alot of "marketed" names over the years.
