last weekend ?????????? that makes a month the field is up compared to the weekend before last year. i think this is horrable that the field layout is realesed so early this year, it pretty much just hands the tournament to the teams from oa and pap and other teams have no real chance.

Please explain your post. You have the chance to play the layouts for the month as well. MAPL did not keep the layouts a secret. They released them do that you may ask your local field to put up the layout for you to practice on. Seems fair to me.

In the OA thread it even says proposed MAPL layout for last weeks practice. They wanted everyone to come out and put input in on what we thought of the layout. I have only lived here for a little bit now but they seem to keep everyone posted on whats going on.

False. 110% false. My team has proving this theory wrong many times. We do NOT practice, EVER. We take literally 5 minutes to walk the fields. And we continue to make podiums here and when the CCPL was in existence. Layouts and practiced are BOTH overrated. And I think the team that won Event 1 was from NY, not local and they played 2nd at event 2.

Also you can have the same layout but its going to be slightly different each time cause of the way they grid it or it got set up

oh my lanta...this layout should be interested before anyone bashes or anything they should play it first and see how it goes.
and as far as releasing early goes, there are one of two things you could do, curl up into a ball hugging your knees and cry in the corner of your room, or simply ask your field owner if you could practice that layout every other weekend and then smash people at event 3.

My team never played the Chi-PSP layout were undefeated going into our last set of prelims games.. Also the layout is released so your local field can put the layout up for the non-locals to oacc or pap can practice

I guess PSP doesn't know what they are doing when they release field layouts for upcoming events so that every team that plans to play the event can setup the field to practice on. It looks to me like the MAPL is trying to give you the same option. Let me also point out that not one person said that your team could not attend the practice sessions at PAP or OACC.

waaahhhh. shoot. kill. win. end of formula.
My teams took 1st at event 1 and 2nd and 3rdat event 2. Never played either setup.
Playing a layout is some help, but not a deal maker or breaker. We are not playing pro level. We are regional players. Skill makes a big difference.
