Although if there are enough people that want it anyway I could make it.
The sidewalls for the clear cans are slightly beefed up for strength, so it can't have the exact same volume as the stock sft can but it will still be the same or better than a HE.(which are close anyway)

I wasn't concerned so much about it being see-through as much as getting a little weight off ( and having another up to talk bout lol).

the problem with any kind of plastic bolt sleeve(delrin included) is that they will be much more wear sensitive. polycarb and delrin both scratch much easier than aluminum and are also less rigid so cutting them accurately is more challanging. If you are trying to save weight, the bolt sleeve is not the best place to do it.

They should come off the machine by this friday and be all polished up/tested and ready to sell a few days after that. I will be posting pictures of the lot once I get them off the machine.

I'm waiting on the final version this week to do pressure testing. I will tape record the tests and post the video in this thread.

That is one shiny can
If I wasn't getting a closed body, then I would buy this in a heartbeat.

***UPDATE***6/30/10
The tester is done. I pressurized up the prototype clear can to 850+ psi from the hp nitro tank and it held just fine. I will be getting a video of the testing the final product very soon and it will be ready shortly after. Please note that on the tester the clear can is completely unsupported so when the clear can is in a real shocker it will be much safer.

everthing is being machined locally by murdock314. He is a fantastastic machinist to work with and is amazing at making parts dead on accurate.

The cans will be available this week. Polishing them is taking a tad longer than expected but things are on track for the cans to start shipping in a couple of days. I'll be contacting those who pm'd me shortly.
