Welcome to the official Western Michigan University Bronco Paintball Thread! This group was formed during the summer of 2010. We currently have well over a dozen members and we are still growing!

WMU PB consists of an elite group of tournament paintball players who compete in the National Collegiate Paintball Association, and also a larger group of recreational players who simply are here to have fun and make friends! Our team is growing steadily and the sky is the limit.

Here are our goals:

1. Looking for any players at Western Michigan University who want to play paintball together.

2. WE NEED PLAYERS!!!! All skill levels are welcome.

3. My main goal is to put together a competitive tournament team for the NCPA and establish WMU PB as a solid organization at WMU for years to come.

4. We are sponsored by TC Paintball, located in Grand Rapids, MI. This is also where we go to practice. Any players interested in playing can feel free to tag along with us in our carpool. Generally, at least a few of us travel to TC every weekend.

5. I want to initially focus this group as a "WMU Paintball Club" first, and a "WMU NCPA Team" second. Therefore, all skill levels are welcome here. Players of lower skill levels who are not interested in NCPA can compete in other local tournaments/scenario games and still represent our fine university.

6. Sponsorships and backing for the team is currently in the works and is looking pretty promising. The last thing I need is a dedicated group of bronco ballers!

Lastly, Here's a little background on myself

My name is Nate Haney, and I am an Air Force ROTC cadet at WMU. I'm graduating in 2014 and I have been playing PB since age 12. I am a very competitive player, and it's my goal to help grow paintball not only at WMU, but in MI as well. My home field, TC Paintball, is definitely one of the best paintball fields/stores in Michigan, so check out their website and sign up for their newsletter if you're interested.

Hey, I'm coming from the other thread that you linked to. Unfortunately I probably couldn't join the team because I'm so broke now, but I'd like to see how this goes and help you out if need be. Are you in kzoo for the summer? I'm living at UClub and one of my roommates helped to set up Kettering's NCPA teams back in the day. Not sure on his username, though, so I'll ask him when he gets back from work tonight. Good luck.

Many schools are starting to be more open to helping students with funding for paintball. I would suggest talking with Rick at TC Grand Rapids to see if he can help with some numbers to take to the school for them to consider.

We have helped Kettering, EMU, and Kettering rec teams with their funding at CRU so don't hesitate to get Rick involved.

I am the roommate igotbanned5_18 is referring to. I did indeed help set up Kettering's competitive team. I'd be more than willing to help out with whatever you need; setting up a team, getting funds from western, coaching and possibly playing (although that might have to be put on hold because of money lol). I have experience with that kind of stuff, so if you ever need my help, feel free to ask.

Just a heads up there will be a new place for you to play that is close to home.

Formula K family fun park and my team neplusultra have been working on a paintball field with the owner.

He just bought a full air ball field and has 4500 hpa fills. Best part for me and everyone in the area it's less than 15 min away.

There will also be a hyperball field and 20 acres of woodsball/scenario field that we are working on.
