The most important aspect that you can have to stand out from everyone else is your attitude. Both positive and negative attitudes have that effect, but it's always better to stand out in a positive way. To do so, don't go around showing off or boasting your skills. It's one thing to say you have great skills and be able to back it up. It's another to say the same thing, walk on the field and play like an idiot. Attitude also includes how you treat others. I can't stress it enough, but be kind and respectful. Respect is not given, it is earned. You can only earn it by showing others the same respect that you want to have.
Be Helpful -
As a young gun you might not have the amount of experience as older more seasoned players. That is fine, and should not discourage you from helping other young guns and new players. If someone looks like they are struggling or needs help then help them! A friendly and helpful player will always stand out amongst peers. It's also a good way to make friends!
Knowledge is the key to success in my opinion. Take the time to learn not only about your marker and equipment, but about other topics such as rules, strategies and paintball "current events". It may not show at first, but as you begin to learn about anything you can, you become a smarter and more effective player. You will also be able to help others better as well!
