I'm going in to talk to a guard recruiter on thursday, and I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on what questions to ask, anything that I should mention to the recruiter. Ive done some research of my own but only really have a blunt understanding of guard life. Im thinking im going to be an infantryman seeing as how I would be no good at any other guard jobs. I was just wondering if anyone could share some information or experiences in the guard, any little input will be helpful for me, thanks in advance guys!

Don't commit to anything the first time there. Just go and get some info and have them take you out for lunch to do it.

I dont see the point of doing the guard as an infantryman. I would do the guard to gain technical skills and use those to start a related career outside of the guard. Take the ASVAB see what you qualify for, look what interests you. They will teach you how to do the jobs. Use the guard to further your opportunities.
