Speedball questions. how much paint do you shoot?

Ive played woodsball for a while now and just bought some new gear looking forward to playing speedball. What format uses the least paint psp or nppl? How much Paint do you usually shoot in a game and how many games do you usually play in a day? Im looking for a case of paint to last me all day in my invert mini but im afraid it wont last very long at all. I have no clue how this works im used to a 13bps tippmann in the woods for 15mins. Thanks

i go through a few cases personally but i play alot of back and mid. i occassionally play front and only use about a hopper and pod. it just depends out how you play and where on the field you play. psp , I think is 12.5 bps ramping. so its not that much different then what you are used too.

how many games do you think a case would last if you played conservatively with your paint?

I'd say you will go through a case at a minimum if your laying down paint to hold a lane ie. back, mid player. You might get away with a little less if your an aggressive front player.

Depends. Sometimes I'll shoot 3 cases in 5 hours, sometimes I'll shoot 1. It all depends on how you conserve your paint and what position you play, really.

A back shouldn't be afraid to dump a few cases of paint against one team, especially race-7 or race-5. Mids can be a little more conservative, but only if your filling in for a front. I agree that fronts can go through only a hopper and pod of paint and still be efficient, really depends on what exactly the team has you going for (a suicide run or holding the snake).

If you're just playing rec pick up speedball conserve your paint. There is no need to shoot tons during recball.

I always shot more in the woods when I was playing recball.

i shoot about a case a day in semi. I play mostly front or mid. I usually only bring 3 pods onto the field with me.

During tournaments I will bring 4-5 pods and shoot about 2-3 pods a game.

This is all playing nppl rules and game types.

Rec ball speaking, the best method to playing conserving paint is playing aggressive and up front. There's better angles farther up field therefor easier shots.

Not to mention I've always tried to play up front during recball because it's more fun imo, and I can't count on a recballer to do everything I say when I'm playing behind them.

The experience/practice will be worth more too learning to play front first. If you can play the front bunkers you can play the back ones, except you can see more.

edit: I usually use about a case playing recball, but at a tournament practice more like 2 or 3 cases.

For recball I play hopperball on semi, one case, I shoot it all early. I'm done.
Team practice about 2 or 3 cases.
