question concerning gst

ok i have the gst and gr2 in my geo. it would always shoot around 290 to 300. but i cleaned my gr2 piston and put it bak in and now wen i chrono it wont go higher than 250 to 260 and its not consistant at all.
dwell is at 13 (lowered it after 4 cases thru the gst)
and i dont know how to fix it but it still shoots cross field good

Make sure that you have a good paint to barrel fit; fit a fresh battery; reset dwell to stock equivalent for the ST kit (14.5ms) if the dwell has been lowered; make sure that you are using an HP output tank; check that the bolt tip o-ring is in good condition; clean the back check ball in the solenoid, make sure that it isn't damaged, and check that it is 4mm in diameter or larger; make sure that the vent in the firing can is just a pin hole - no larger.
