Do you have the GST kit? Wasn't this something common with the kit?

With the GR-2 kit I believe that what you call it. This shouldn't happen the new piston should vent all the air in the gun out when you degass the marker . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYmbuph_XmU
Look at 48 seconds does your piston look like that?

This will cause the problem if you've taken off/replaced the macroline fitting on the reg and neglected to put the tee back in as well.

Did you have your tank hooked up to it still? If you didnt dry fire it to make sure the air is out could be the reason. Its suppost to vent, but I know that there are times I bleed my tank and do a dry fire and find that there is still air in the gun that didnt bleed out. Its the saying treat a gun as if it was loaded!!!!

Pretty sure the T was designed to work with the stock reg and not just any reg. Here's another example of why you don't add non-PE 'upgrades' to your Ego/Geo.

Yep, this issue will have been down to using a non-stock reg.

For one thing, the stock reg purges the air from your marker when you degas the marker. This is specific feature of the S3 reg. As such, your marker cannot fire once the marker is degassed. Once degassed, there should be no air left in the marker.

Without the self purging feature, the piston inside the reg actually acts as a one way valve, letting air in to the reg, but not letting it out - not instantly anyway. Normall, the seals in a reg are not 100% perfect, and given time, air will start to bleed out, and then the reg piaston will move, letting out the rest of the air. With good selas though, this can take a long time to happen.

So, using a non-stock reg has allowed air to be stored in the marker, making it possible for a shot to be fired.

The other thing is in relation to the Purge Control Valve (the "tee" in the macroline elbow). This slows the rate at which air purges from the marker and out of the reg. This is important, because the backcheck valve in the solenoid stops air from leaving directly from the firing chamber, so instead, air from the firing chamber has to pass through a tiny hole in the can, and then out through the front of the solenoid. It is the air in the front section of the can that holds the bolt back and stops the marker from firing.

Without the PCV, the air in front of the bolt will quickly vent out of the solenoid - quicker than air can pass from the firing chamber to the can - allowing the air left in the firing chamber to push the bolt forwards, at which point the air will be released to fire a ball.

What the PCV does is to slow the air being released from the can, which in turn gives time for the air in the firing chamber to pass in to the can. Long story short, even though the pressure in the marker is dropping as the air is purged, the air pressure in the firing chamber and the can equalises, which ensures that the bolt stays back and the marker doesn't fire when you degas it. If you don't have the PCV to slow down the rate at which the air purges, there isn't time for the air pressure to equalise, so the pressure in the can drops quicker than the pressure in the firing chamber, the bolt is pushed forwards, and the marker fires.

You need the PCV, and you need the self purging reg.

not inside my house no, only place I shoot my marker is a well netted field or chrono area, where goggles are on; other times, barrel sock, and i turn the marker off.

However, it simply seems like you need to put the stock reg back on and replace the T to the elbow.

Yep, this is all air related, and nothing to do with power - if the air in the can vents and there is still air in the chamber to push the bolt forwards, the marker will fire, even though it is switched off.

Again, it just goes to highlight that you need the purging reg and the PCV to prevent it from happening.
