All you can really do is get out there and practice. You can do the snap shooting drills like 1v1 or even 1v2 or 3. Or use a full length mirror at your house and pretend to snap shoot at it (dry firing/practice mode on your board). Use a big box or a garage corner as a bunker and you'll see how much your poking out when you snap. Adjust accordingly .

1v1 definitely helps...maybe even a 2v1 after to make sure you're tight on both sides (and helps you for when you're pinched in a game)
have someone looking at you from down field(opponent) and also someone to the side of you to tell you what they can see and not just what the opponent can see

its all about practice and "muscle memory" (make everything a natural move in games)

Just tell your teammates that you didn't fill your pods because you were getting stoned. They'll understand.

I have a friend who uses a tree near his house that has a pretty wide base, and just snaps out and shoots an orange cone for about 2 hoppers worth of paint, or has a friend stand at the other end to tell him if he exposing to much of his body or if he is it right.
