While we can comment on the differences between the production Geo and the prototype Geo2, presuming that the production Geo2 will be the same as the prototype, fact is that full specifications of the Geo2 haven't been released yet.
Prices of the Geo+ may well drop if it won't sell at it's current price after the release of the Geo2, but with the Geo+ being cheaper, who is to say that it won't continue to sell - people may not have $1250 for the Geo2. So yes, a price drop is a possibility, but that's just speculation - impossible to say for sure until it actually happens.
