Interested in a T9 not yet sold though

Hey everyone,
I have been searching the web and looking for information on the T9. I tried to find information on the T9 on Tiberius' web site but there is no good, helpful information on it. So here is my list of questions.
1. Where is the cheapest place to buy a T9?
2. Which model of the T9 is the best for me (what are the differences between them)?
3. Do they make any aftermarket parts or accessories for the T9?
4. How do you buy parts for Tiberius' markers if something breaks?
5. Where can I find a diagram or manual for the T9?
6. How is the trigger pull on these guns?
7. What design is the bolt (closed bolt, pop-it valve, ect.)?
8. Do they make a higher capacity magazine for the first strike rounds?
9. How durable are these guns?
10. Can you use regular ten round tubes for the first strike rounds?
11. Have you guys noticed any problems or glitches with any of these guns?
Please add any helpful or useful information that you know. Thank you for your time.

I'll see what I can do

1. Where is the cheapest place to buy a T9?
Haven't seen anyone significantly cheaper than anyone else, you'll have to search that out for your self. Though you'll probably save more from a place with free shipping than one with a few dollars lower list price.

2. Which model of the T9 is the best for me (what are the differences between them)?
Internally they're identical, though you'll probably the newest version, the T9.1, if you want to use First Strike rounds. The individual models only differ in the included accessories. If you don't need a laser sight, flash light, bipod, or thing that looks like a silencer but doesn't actually make the gun quieter then you don't need the Elite, go with the Ranger. If you don't particularly want that long of body, go with the CQB.
Quote:
3. Do they make any aftermarket parts or accessories for the T9?
Yep a few. Though a few less for the new 9.1's, they use a slightly different barrel and the guys who make the aftermarket barrels need time to get up to date. Most of the rail mounted stuff, fore grips, risers, sights, scopes, lights, laser, etc. are all basic off the shelf tactical accessories, the same stuff you'd put on your AR15 firearm. Makes trips to the local gun shows a lot more fun.

4. How do you buy parts for Tiberius' markers if something breaks?
Calling Tiberius directly seems to be the easiest way. I haven't had to replace anything on mine so far.
Quote:
5. Where can I find a diagram or manual for the T9?
http://www.tiberiusarms.com/dl_tech_docs.html
Quote:
6. How is the trigger pull on these guns?
I'd call it snappy. Mechanical, and a bit long, but not hard. I can get mine up to a respectable rate of fire for a single trigger mech.
Quote:
7. What design is the bolt (closed bolt, pop-it valve, ect.)?
Blow forward. Like an Automag, though with a resetting sear instead of an on/off valve. Or think of it like a Mini with a sear. Do NOT stick your finger in the breech! And if you're going hopper feed, use a motorized hopper. The bolt is not gentle to half fed paint, so a shake'n'bake won't cut it.
Quote:
8. Do they make a higher capacity magazine for the first strike rounds?
Not for the T9. You need to go with the T4 if you want the 15 round FS mags.
Quote:
9. How durable are these guns?
I'd rate it High. Won't just fall apart from use, but not quite as idiot proof as a tippmann.
Quote:
10. Can you use regular ten round tubes for the first strike rounds?
Yep, though it will end up holding more than 10 since the rounds tend to nest into each other. You'll still have to load them into the magazines one at a time.

11. Have you guys noticed any problems or glitches with any of these guns?
Mostly user error stuff. Not having the bolt in the right place during reassembly has always been a big one.

Excellent post! I just recently picked up a T9 myself! Once it gets here I can help with info, I got a basic setup mainly to save the price from the Elite models. That way I can buy the accessories one by one and get the ones I really want. Personally, I think its better to be able to play with the gun and then decide on the necessary accesories, rather than saving up and buying the Elite..that way you have a marker to play with while you upgrade.

Thanks a ton Fubarius. I am leaning twards the T9.1 cqb fs. I was on specialopspaintball.com and i saw the longbow mag system and was wondering if that does work with first strike rounds? Quite honestly I dont realy care about the accessories on the rifle although i definatle want the shorter body. Also what is the big difference with the T4 that makes it $500 more than the T9.1? Thanks

The longbow only works with normal paintballs. FS rounds are bullet shaped and hollow in the back, so they're incapable of making the 90 degree turn into the breech from the longbow.

The T4 has a bit more complex if layout. More parts, more cost. Though the T4 is also the only version capable of mounting a standard bottom line tank at the moment, if you replace the stock grip with a paintball specific one for a Phantom pump gun. I do feel it's a bit over priced overall, hence I haven't bought one.

Ya actually the new T9.1 can have a tank screwed into it.
Here is a great pic of the First strike rounds.

On the back, yeah. I was talking about a more standard for a paintball gun bottom line setup.

Though with the right ASA and some 1" scope rings you can actually mount a small air tank anywhere there is a tac rail. I'm working on that kind of setup for my older T9 since I don't particularly care for remotes.
